Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology
My professional interest is working with children, their families, and schools to develop appropriate interventions and strategies for the home and school environments based on a comprehensive assessment of a child’s cognitive and behavioral functioning. My particular area of interest is consultation, assessment, and intervention for a wide range of developmental and neurological problems including traumatic brain injury, brain tumors, stroke, encephalitis, meningitis, epilepsy, genetic disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and specific learning disabilities. As a Licensed Psychologist, I am trained to administer and interpret intellectual, academic, and social-emotional measures; however, I have additional training in the area of Neuropsychological Assessment, which is a systematic assessment of brain-behavior relationships, specifically, the areas of attention, executive functions, learning, memory, language, visuospatial, and sensory-motor processes, as well as intellectual, social-emotional functioning, and achievement.

Jordana Mortimer, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology
Professionally, I specialize in comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological evaluations to determine each individual’s unique learning and thinking styles, as well as social and emotional functioning. This includes looking at all areas of cognitive functioning and the role this plays with brain-behavior relationships. While this includes a wide variety of areas such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and learning disorders, I have a particular passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. While working in Fort Worth ISD, I participated in multidisciplinary Autism evaluations for many years, served as the Coordinator for the district’s Autism team, and consulted in specialized classrooms where educational planning addressed specific needs of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have also received specialized training in Applied Behavioral Analysis. Across any area of concern, my goal is to better equip parents with research based interventions or resources to support their child by increasing their child’s skill set. Additionally, I enjoy consulting with parents on grace-based strategies to decrease behavior problems and bring more peace into their homes by using strategies that can be implemented immediately.
